1. MDDN 241 - Project2A - Character Concept Ten (Final)

    - I simplified the legs of the character and gave more detail to the neck to understand how it would work better.
    - Still deciding on whether to have more detail in the head to show more of an eye shape or mouth to give more to show emotion.

  2. MDDN 241 - Project2A - Character Concept Nine

    - This character is based on Lebbeus Woods style of work, the inanimate object it is based on is a crane (construction machine).
    - It is made up of a magnetic metal frame with scraps of metal attached to it which build up its form.
    - Its long neck will be the defining emotive  part of its body and the head of the character

  3. MDDN 241 - Project2A - Character Concept Eight

    - Another development on the ball of wool.
    - Instead of cut offs as arms and legs, it would just have legs and they would be just loose wool that had come away from the ball.

  4. MDDN 241 - Project2A - Character Concept Seven

    - This is a development of the ball of wool character.
    - I thought using cut offs of wool as his arms and legs could be a more interesting interaction with its environment

  5. MDDN 241 - Project2A - Character Concept Six

    - This character was also based on a ball of wool.
    - The knitting needles would be its legs
    - This ones story would involve it falling off a table of some kind and unravelling, the rest being about its journey to rebuild itself into a ball of wool.

  6. MDDN 241 - Project2A - Character Concept Five

    - This character was based on a Lebbeus Wood’s architectural style work. I created a sphere made up of a rusting breaking down metal frame.

  7. MDDN 241 - Project2A - Character Concept Four

    - This was kind of development on the light bulb character. I thought a little robot would be quite cool and would fit into the story I had imagined a bit better but still think it could use some work as it is very humanistic.

  8. MDDN 241 - Project2A - Character Concept Three

    - This character was based on Theo Jansens creatures. I wanted to use many little legs and feet with a smooth but detailed shell cover. After designing this I found it would need some more work to make it a more interesting and interactive character.

  9. MDDN 241 - Project2A - Character Concept Two

    - This character was based on a light bulb, with a plug attached to it.
    - I designed this character with a story line already in mind so it would definitly need some changes to make it more like my artist models work.
    - The idea was that the plug would be needed to power the character and it would embark on journey to build itself a portable life source so it could go anywhere it wanted to go.

  10. MDDN 241 - Project2A - Character Concept One

    - This character was based on a drawing compass with inspiration from Lebbeus Wood’s style of art.
    - The character has two long legs which it will use to walk and a face at the top which it would use to show emotion
